Free tastes good!

So I've gotten a bunch of freebies from the places I've signed up.  Some I wasn't able to use because I was out of town but today for lunch I got my free burger from Fuddruckers and it was yummy! Friday I'm getting my free sandwich from Which Wich and Saturday my free drink from the AMC Theater (they are ending their MovieWatcher club)!

Review: Ritz Crackerfuls Classic Cheddar

Ritz Crackerfuls Classic Cheddar 6 oz. (Pack of 6)I frequently request samples of products, primarily because they are free, but also to test a new product to see if I or my family like it. One of the recent samples I received was the Ritz Crackerfuls. This was a 1 oz sample size of their Classic Cheddar flavor. This is two long Ritz crackers sandwiching a cheddar cheese filling. I’ll be honest, I was prepared to be underwhelmed; I took them to work as a sort of “emergency” snack. I’m the type of person to take apart my Oreos when I eat them and I did the same to the Crackerful. The crackers were just “ok”. I wasn’t really impressed with them. But the cheese filling, OMG! It’s heavenly! It’s a whipped cheese filling that is absolutely amazing. Not like cheddar in a can.  A colleague of mine said she would buy this product just to lick off the cheese filling and throw away the crackers.

Try them, you won’t be sorry.

Searching for Points

There are several programs available that will allow you accumulate points or credits based upon you using their search engine to browse the internet.  The two that I use are SwagBucks and MyPoints.  Each one has the search feature but here's a breakdown of their other features.

SwagBucks - Randomly rewards you with points when you perform a search; therefore, you want to perform lots of searches until you hit a reward.  They also have SwagCodes that you can find on their website (some you have to hunt for) or their blog.  You then go to your SwagBucks home page and enter the code for a predetermined amount of points.  There are a few other ways to earn 1 SwagBuck at a time: Click through offers, answer daily poll, and refresh your SwagBucks toolbar (if you have installed that feature on your web browser).

MyPoints - Rewards you points for reading emails and clicking to view a website, taking surveys, and performing searches using their search engine.  The emails are usually 5 points a piece, the surveys vary from 10 points if you don't qualify to 50 if you complete the survey.  MyPoints rewards searches based upon the quantity of searches you perform.  For example, I earned 75 points for performing 31+ searches in December!

So what do you get from these programs?  The prizes vary at each site but are very comparable and include gift cards, downloads, small gifts, magazines, etc.,  but I usually redeem my points for Amazon.com gift cards (in the form of codes).

I would urge you to try both - you're searching the internet anyway, why not earn prizes for it?

Freebie info

One of my little joys in life is coming home from work and checking my mail for free samples.  I have received cereal, breakfast bars, laundry detergent, post-it notes, magazines, etc. all for free.  And we actually use them. Yesterday I received a sample of "Seattle's Best Coffee".  There are sites all over the internet for these items and I am here to share the ones I use.  To receive these samples you will need to provide your address and other information, almost always an email address.  Setup a separate free email address just for your coupons/freebies/deals to be sent to.  Otherwise, you may not print a coupon until after it has expired.  Here's a small sample, tee hee, of websites to start with:

freeflys.com - this is the site I started with.  You won't want all of their samples but it's a good start.

allyou.com - if you haven't heard of All You I urge you to spend a little time on their website.  They offer a free sample everyday.  You can go to their website daily or sign up for their email.

http://samples.target.com/  - yes, Target.  Now and again you will find a free sample available here and at
Walmart.

Ok, get started with those.  Give it a few weeks and start looking forward to checking your mail!

Finish Dishwasher Detergent really, really, cheap!

I've been waiting for this deal.  We happen to use this brand of dishwasher detergent but even if we didn't I wouldn't pass it up.  CVS has Finish Detergent, 20 count boxes, at only $3 this week.  That's a "meh" price at best.  But when you factor in the coupon in the 01/02 Smart Source insert for $2.25 off, WOW!!  You can't beat .75 cents for a full box of detergent!  I'm there.  Plus I'm asking friends for their coupons so I can buy multiple boxes to take advantage of the CVS ECB deal.  They'll give you $10 ECB when you buy (wyb) $20 worth of select products.  And that's $20 BEFORE coupons!!

Oh, and if they happen to be out of the detergent, ask for a raincheck!! CVS rainchecks don't expire!
